Washington’s Office of Secretary of State is seeking nominations for its 2016 Corporations for Communities award. The deadline to nominate is Aug. 31.
“Washington is blessed to have many companies that make a difference by giving back in various ways,” Secretary of State Kim Wyman said. This CFC program helps the public to recognize businesses that emphasize helping their communities.
Nomination forms can be found at this link on the Secretary of State’s website.
Anyone is able to nominate businesses for the award. Any sized for-profit corporation, limited liability company (LLC), or limited partnership is eligible for the award. The state office will choose at least one large and one small firm from among the nominations.
Past South Sound winners include Heritage Distilling of Gig Harbor in 2015, The Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse of Sumner (2014), Weyerhaeuser (2013) and Tacoma’s Korsmo Construction in 2011.
