Enumclaw’s St. Elizabeth Hospital, part of CHI Franciscan Health, has been recognized again by the American Hospital Association as one of the country’s “Most Wired” hospitals.

The honor came through the organization’s 18th annual “Most Wired” survey. It’s the 10th year St. Elizabeth has garnered an AHA award for being connected; the facility was named “Most Wired” from 2008-09 and 2014-16 and “Most Wired” in the “Small and Rural” category in 2006, 2007, 2011 and 2013.

To determine honorees, a survey of 680 participating facilities, representing an estimated 2,146 hospitals, was conducted earlier in the year. The survey examines how organizations are leveraging IT and adopting technology to improve performance in the medical field.

“We take great pride at St. Elizabeth in utilizing the latest technology to care for our patients,” says Lois Erickson, vice president of patient care services at St. Elizabeth. “We know that integrating technology into our medical care enables our patients to heal faster and get out of the hospital sooner as well.”
