SCJ Alliance, a Lacey-based engineering and planning consulting firm, earned high marks from the Zweig Group.
The Zweig Group, which produces national rankings for outstanding architecture, engineering, environmental and multidiscipline firms in the U.S. and Canada, ranked SCJ as 12th in the multidiscipline category and 22nd in civil engineering. The ranks, which are created by an anonymous survey of firm employees, are based on workplace practices, employee benefits, employee retention rates and more.
“This award is reflective of the incredible team members we have,” said Jean Carr, SCJ's senior vice president and cofounder. “It's also an affirmation that we've been able to maintain a supportive, collegial atmosphere even with our rapid growth and expansion to multiple locations.”
The firms' survey participants most frequently selected the phrase “team oriented/collaborative” as a descriptor for SCJ. They also said the firm is “supportive of professional goals,” “focused on integrity” and “client focused.”
