The owners of PlantsPlus have decided to move their business from Idaho to the Port of Chehalis.
PlantsPlus is leasing property from the Port where it plans to sell quality nursery stock at wholesale prices and provide landscape design services. The company also plans to start up community-based programs such as gardening classes for children, produce co-ops and pollination classes.
“The immediate access to the freeway was a definite plus for the company’s distribution line of products,” said PlantsPlus owner Eric Olmstead. “We have spent a considerable amount of time exploring the area and are excited about the opportunities this family-oriented community has to offer for both our business and our family.”
Olmstead hopes to open by April and has plans for expansion as the business becomes more established.
