Tacoma engineering and surveying firm AHBL, Inc., has named Doreen Gavin as its new president. An equity principal for the last decade and a half, Gavin will continue leading the firm in partnership with AHBL’Âs other equity principal vice presidents: John Becker, Dan Booth, Sean Comfort, Doug Tapp and Matt Weber. She is currently working on Destination Point Defiance for Metro Parks Tacoma and the Washington Elementary Modernization for Tacoma Public Schools.
Tacoma Goodwill has announced that Christa Brothers will join the organization as Chief Development Officer for the Goodwill Heritage Foundation. Since July 1, Brothers has been overseeing and directing all fundraising for the Foundation, including annual giving, planned giving and capital, grants, and special events fundraising. Prior to joining Goodwill, Brothers was the director of development for various departments at the University of Utah and senior director of development for corporate accounts at the ChildrenÃƒÂs Miracle Network.
Kitsap Bank has announced that Todd Gainey has joined its mortgage lending team as a Residential Mortgage Loan Officer. Gainey will be based out of the Mortgage Center at the Point Fosdick branch in Gig Harbor. He comes to Kitsap Bank with extensive experience in all facets of lending, most recently with Anchor Bank.

Three service technicians at Korum Ford-Lincoln in Puyallup recently won the 2012 PTS Performance Challenge and traveled to Dearborn, Mich., to be awarded. Korum’Âs Dawn Kraves, Jackson McComish and Kyle Morrison are among 200 technicians nationwide to receive this honor. The PTS Performance Challenge is a Ford Motor Company recognition contest that grades job accomplishments in several categories, including Fix-It-Right-The-First-Time performance, retail sales, support and technical training.
