Edward Jones Financial Advisor Paul Muldoon of Olympia recently received the Winner’s Circle Award for his outstanding sales and service efforts during the past year. Muldoon was one of only 492 of the firm’s more than 12,000 financial advisors to receive the Winner’s Circle award.
Greg Horn has been installed as president of the Rotary Club of Lakewood at Tacoma Country & Golf Club. He succeeds Joel Feldman who served during the last year. The 125-member Rotary Club also recognized a non-Rotarian of the Year and Rotarian of the Year during the event. Hugh Hedges, a member of the Lakewood First Lions Club and a longtime community volunteer and activist, received the Rotary Club’s Bernie Ootkin Humanitarian of the Year Award. He was cited for his behind-the-scenes efforts in such varied projects as helping clean the streets of Lakewood to serving on the boards of Partners for Parks and numerous other organizations. Rotarian of the Year was a second-generation club member, Greg Rediske. He has served the club for many years, following in the footsteps of his late father, Jim, as secretary and president. During the last year he reorganized and invigorated the international youth exchange program resulting in the club hosting a student from Finland this year and another teenager coming later this summer to spend a year locally.
Department of Social and Health Services Secretary Susan Dreyfus has appointed Tracy Guerin as DSHS chief of staff, effective July 7. Guerin comes to DSHS from the Department of Information Services where she was a deputy director for the past four years. Overall, Guerin has 25 years of service working in Washington state, including management positions with the Department of Corrections and the Secretary of State.
