Tom Hornburg, chief information officer for Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics, has been named Employee of the Month for April. He has worked for MGH&FC since 2007 and helped MGH achieve the nation’s “Most Wired Rural Hospital” status for 2008.  Since then, MGH&FC has gone on to win the award, renamed “Most Wired Hospital,” for four consecutive years.

William Elledge M.D. has joined Life Care Physician Services as an on-site physician at Life Care Center of Puyallup. He previously was a hospitalist at Capital Medical Center in Olympia. Elledge also has experience as an internist, in private practice, as a clinical professor and as a medical director at a skilled nursing and rehab center. For two years, he also served as epidemic intelligence officer for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Elledge earned his degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. He is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Washington State Medical Association, the American College of Physicians (in which he is also a fellow) and the American Medical Directors Association.

Ashley Gross has joined KPLU as business and labor reporter and Gabriel Spitzer has joined the station as youth and education reporter. Both most recently worked at WBEZ – Chicago Public Radio. Gross has a bachelor's degree in history from Brown University and a master's degree in media and communications from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs. Spitzer has a master's degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley and a bachelor's degree in English literature from Cornell University.
