Olympia Police Department is investigating a string of business burglaries that occurred on Sunday and Monday nights.

Investigators believe that five businesses, located within a few blocks of one another in the city’s Northeast area, were the victims of one burglar. The suspect broke into the businesses using a pry bar, took money and other property, then vandalized the interiors.

Three hair salons and a Chiropractor’s office were targeted. The burglary at a fifth business, a bakery, was thwarted when an observant neighbor saw the suspect attempting to pry a door to the business and shouted at him.

Police are looking for a bald, white male, who is about 5’10 and 170 pounds.  The investigation into the crimes is continuing.

If you have information that might lead to the identification and apprehension of the persons responsible for these crimes, please contact the Olympia Police Department at (360)753-8300 or Thurston County CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
