The newest City of Olympia Fire Department station, Station 4 at 3525 Stoll Road, has been awarded Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design gold certification.

LEED is a program administered by the United States Green Building Council. It emphasizes sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials and resources selection, and indoor environmental quality. Gold is the second highest certification granted.
Funding for the new fire station was approved by voters in 2008.

Fire Station 4 opened June 14. The engine stationed there has already completed more than 250 calls for service.  Engine 4 is the second busiest unit in the city.
