A pair of familiar names in the South Sound building community have formed their own general contracting company, Colvos Construction.
The company, named after the Colvos Passage that connects Seattle and Tacoma along Vashon Island’s west side, was founded by Devin Page and Anders Bjorn. Page, former vice president at Rush Commercial Construction in Gig Harbor, first worked with Bjorn at Andersen Construction. Page will serve as the new company’s president, while Bjorn will be Colvos’ vice president.
“When the company was conceptualized, we received a tremendous amount of support,” said President Devin Page. “Colleagues, clients, friends, and family encouraged the formation of Colvos Construction and pledged to support us in any way possible. It was a proud moment for me to see the planning come together, because there were so many people that shared in the vision.
“This company is built on the philosophy that every team member is consistently focused on adding value for our clients,” he continued. “We’re able to do that with diverse and highly qualified employees that have strengths in a wide range of markets and product types. Additionally, Colvos Construction is strategically located in Tacoma, which positions us to provide south end value to our projects in Seattle, and participate locally in what we believe will be a long-term growth market in Pierce County.”
