Lisa Miles has been appointed interim chief executive officer for Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel in Rochester. She replaces long-time CEO John Setterstrom, who is leaving the operation after 22 years.
Named the South Sound’s Financial Executive of the Year in 2015 as CFO of the Chehalis Tribe’s operation, Miles has a 28-year career in finance and Native American gaming that began at Ernst & Young in Chicago. She later worked with Bally Entertainment, Six Flags amusement park in California and the Tulip Casino before joining Lucky Eagle.
“John Setterstrom has made significant and lasting contributions to our success,” said David Burnett, business committee secretary for the Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation. “He has been with Lucky Eagle Casino since our opening in 1995, and was dedicated to serving the Chehalis Tribe and developing the Lucky Eagle Casino from our infancy.”
The Tribe has begun an active search for a permanent replacement for Setterstrom.
Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel features 171 hotel rooms and meeting space, exceptional dining, live entertainment, 1,300 slot machines, blackjack, craps, roulette, keno and bingo. It is owned and operated by the Chehalis Tribe.
