Tacoma Mall and The Cheesecake Factory have revealed more details on the restaurant’s new location, opening this winter at the South Sound shopping complex.

The Cheesecake Factory will occupy an 8,900-square-foot space, vacated, as previously reported, by a Coldwater Creek store (no longer at the mall) and a Sleep Number retailer (which moved to a different space in the complex). It will accommodate around 225 guests, with additional seating available on an approximately 1,240-square-foot patio. An account executive at the Seattle PR firm that works with Tacoma Mall added that the restaurant is expected to add more than 250 jobs.

“We are thrilled to have The Cheesecake Factory joining Tacoma Mall,” said Sarah Bonds, director of marketing and business development for Tacoma Mall. “The Cheesecake Factory is a compelling restaurant brand our shoppers and community will enthusiastically embrace, and they are a wonderful complement to our mall's existing retailer selection.”

“Since opening our first restaurant in Beverly Hills more than 35 years ago, The Cheesecake Factory has become known for creating delicious, memorable experiences for millions of guests around the country, and we are so pleased to be opening another restaurant in the Seattle area,” said David Overton, founder, chairman and CEO of The Cheesecake Factory, Incorporated. “We look forward to opening in Tacoma Mall this winter.”

Neither the restaurant nor the mall have confirmed a concrete opening date.
