Muckleshoot Casino has bet on the next trend in entertainment technology.

The Auburn gaming facility has partnered with Bellevue-based VRstudios to install wireless multiplayer virtual reality systems; Muckleshoot is the first installation by VRstudios in a casino and is believed to be the first gaming facility in the United States to offer streaming wireless VR.

VRstudios in recent months has notched partnerships with several high-profile entertainment companies in the world, such as Universal Studios Orlando and Meraas’ Hub Zero in Dubai.

“People of all ages are loving this riveting new experience. Some customers are so enthralled they’ve played VRstudios’ games more than 15 times in a single night and then returned the next evening for another round of fun,” said Junior Maldonado, entertainment manager of Muckleshoot Casino.

Muckleshoot’s virtual reality experience is being offered in the casino’s Club Galaxy nightlife venue, where the VR game offers guests a chance to survive a town overrun by a zombie outbreak or puts them in the midst of a Wild West shootout.
