Physicians specializing in gastroenterology practice from Olympia to Bellevue announced a combination of their efforts today that will form Washington Gastroenterology effective Jan. 1, 2018.
Digestive Health Specialists serves much of Pierce County from a main clinic in Tacoma. Gastroenterology Associates has long operated in the Olympia-Thurston County marketplace. And Northwest Gastroenterology, along with Overlake Internal Medicine-Gastroenterology in east King County, will form a network with more than 40 board-certified physicians and 20 non-physician providers.
“This merger will allow us to continue to enhance the patient experience and provide excellence in gastroenterology care for decades to come,” says Dr. Raj Butani, board certified gastroenterologist.
As an independent physician-owned practice, Washington Gastroenterology will be able to effectively treat patients in clinic locations, provide infusion services, as well as perform outpatient endoscopic procedures including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, in their Ambulatory Endoscopy Centers (AEC).
