Starting this summer, fresh locally grown produce, live entertainment and arts and crafts will be featured at Lakewood's first Farmers Market.

From 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesdays, from July 10 to Aug. 28, the Farmers Market will be open at City Hall plaza, 6000 Main St. SW.

“We are hoping for 30 vendors,” said Mary Dodsworth, parks, recreation and community services director of the city. “We have a list confirmed, but we need additional participants. It’s not too early or too late to sign-up.”

Potential vendors and entertainers can download applications here.

The city is spearheading the pilot project in partnership with a community leadership team.
