The City of Kent is seeking to fill a vacant seat on the Kent City Council. The opening results from the resignation of Councilmember Tina Budell on Apr. 13, 2018. Applicants for Budell’s seat must submit a letter of interest and a resume by 5 p.m. on Apr. 20.

On Apr. 24, the city council will meet to discuss the prospective candidates. Qualified applicants will then be interviewed. An appointment may be made at a special meeting on May 8 at City Hall.

Interested parties should submit a letter explaining why they want to serve on the council and outlining any relevant experience they have. Applications can be submitted here.
