Retirement planning advisory firm Hunter Benefits Consulting Group has moved its Seattle area location from Kent to University Place, and it’s ready for its Pierce County closeup.

The company’s new location at 2607 Bridgeport Way West, University Place, is just a few miles from where Hunter CEO Christopher Tipper first started his retirement planning compliance career in 1990.

“We love the Seattle-Tacoma area,” Tipper says. “It definitely feels like home to us – and we’re looking forward to serving more of the businesses and nonprofit organizations that are thriving here.”

The company, which also has locations in Chicago and Denver, was in Kent for about a year and a half before moving to University Place.

“[The office is] nicer — better space — and it’s closer to our employees, where they live,” said President and CFO Katherine Tipper. “And we love University Place. Three great reasons to move.”

The company will host an open house for business owners, financial advisors and accountants at their new offices in University Place on Thursday, Fe. 18 from 4-7 p.m.
