It was announced late Friday afternoon that Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics will acquire Hoodsport Family Clinic effective January 2, 2014.
This acquisition will allow the other units of Public Hospital District No. 1 of Mason County to fully support Hoodsport services provided by Margene Fields, ARNP, by more tightly integrating coordination of care for benefit of the patients.
“The addition of Hoodsport Family Clinic makes Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics more robust, because Margene has done a marvelous job of serving the broader Hoodsport community.” said Eric Moll, CEO. “I am impressed with the breadth and depth of the care Margene provides. She is incredibly accessible, and to me, that type of relationship equates to superior care.”
Moll said this partnership with Hoodsport Family Clinic helps MGH&FC to achieve its ultimate goal of putting the patient first.
MGH&FC is approved by the Joint Commission, and MGH is a licensed and accredited acute care hospital with a level four emergency trauma designation. There are more than 100 physicians on staff in 19 specialties.
