Hosing sales were mixed during March compared to last year throughout the South Sound and median sales prices were lower in all but Thurston County, according to the latest numbers from Northwest Multiple Listing Service.

Sales in Pierce County were 9.25 percent higher (803 vs. 735), but the median price fell from $193,000 to $175,000. Mason County also posted an increase in sales, from 30 during March 2011 to 58 last month. However, the median price fell from $163,875 to $151,600. Lewis County saw sales fall 27.42 percent (45 vs. 62), and the median price dropped from $139,950 to $118,599.

Sales in Thurston County were flat (219 vs. 220). However, the median price rose from $201,947 to $212,000.
