Greater Metro Parks Foundation presented three Recognition Awards during a luncheon today at Hotel Murano.

The Zina Linnik Project, a partnership among McCarver Elementary School and Tacoma Public Schools, University of Washington Tacoma and University of Puget Sound, received the Outstanding Project award.
Metro Parks Tacoma Specialized Recreation, which serves adults and children with developmental and cognitive disabilities, received the Outstanding Program award.

Supporters of Garfield Park Playground received the Outstanding Community Group award.
