Former Olympia Mayor Doug Mah will keynote Thurston Chamber’s July forum, where he will share his vision for the organization’s newly formed public policy division.

Mah, who served as mayor from 2008 to 2011, joined the division last year as an independent contractor. His long career in public service includes a decade on the Olympia City Council, during which he spearheaded significant public investments including a new city hall, regional fire training facility, fire station, regional wastewater service center, children’s museum, and rebuilding the city’s premier waterfront boardwalk.

At the July Forum, Mah’s talk will include a look at the current local public policy environment and upcoming issues that will impact the region. Attendees will learn about issues and candidates on the November ballot and the outcome of the Shared Legislative Agenda, all from the perspective of creating a prosperous economy and vibrant community.

The forum is set for Wednesday, July 12 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hotel RL Olympia.
