State health officials have suspended the credential of Federal Way counselor Scott Hale after he admitted having sex with a client on three occasions.

His credential was immediately suspended in February based on allegations that he had sex with a client while he was a counselor at a Burien mental health clinic. This five year minimum suspension completes the legal process that started with the immediate suspension.

Hale cannot apply for reinstatement for at least five years, and he must meet requirements designed to protect the public before being reinstated.
