Fife City Council members this week selected their next city manager to lead day-to-day functions in the municipality and succeed the retiring Subir Mukerjee in mid-September.

Hyun Kim, most recently finance director for Boulder City, Nevada, will take over Sept. 13 in Fife. Kim previously was town administrator in Afton, Wyo., for four years. He received his executive Masters of Public Administration at Brigham Young University and holds an MBA from Western Governors University.

Two new assistant professors will be welcoming students to classes of the School of Business at Saint Martin’s University this fall – one with significant past South Sound connections.

Bob Danielle, Ph.D., has worked as an instructor at Pierce College, Puyallup, and as a digital media sales manager at The News Tribune in Tacoma. Other former work saw Danielle co-found Serenity Now Consulting in Federal Way and as director of CRM and business solutions at RealNetworks in Seattle.

Andrew Barenberg, Ph.D., joins the Lacey university from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and most recently was a visiting assistant professor at Denison University in Ohio.
