Engineering firm PCS Structural Solutions, which already operates offices in Tacoma and Seattle, is adding a third Pacific Northwest location in Portland.

Education and healthcare facilities — two key components of PCS’ portfolio — in Oregon have been increasingly prioritizing seismic resiliency, and the company intends to capitalize.

“We believe strongly in pursuing creative partners that we can collaborate with using our expertise and iterative design approach to develop exceptional buildings,” said Luke Heath, office manager of the new Portland branch. “We value our design and construction partners, our building owners, and our employees.  We are always seeking to complement our superior services with like-minded creative partners.  Adding a third location will help us magnify our efforts.”

PCS now has 70 staff members across the three offices. The new location opened on Dec. 1.
