Sweltering? Feeling a little light-headed?  Click! Cable TV has a special treat for anyone looking to cool off during this week’s heat wave.

Customers can tune to “Click! 1” (channel 1 for those with cable receivers or channel 117 for those without a receiver) today through Thursday to cool off with pictures of recent winter snowstorms in the Tacoma area. The pictures will be accompanied by appropriate music and sounds of the season.
“We did something similar in July 2007 and received hundreds of ‘thank you’ calls,” said Mitch Robinson, marketing and business operations manager for Click! Cable TV. “We thought it would help people who are dealing with the heat to remember past snowstorms and know that this heat wave won’t last forever.”

The photos seen on the Click! channels are courtesy of Tacoma resident Kevin Freitas, who blogs his commentary and photographs of the city along with others at his Web site.

Tuning in can help people mentally cool off, but they should also check out the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department Web site for tips on avoiding heat exposure.
