Hal Russell, president and CEO of Tacoma’s Commencement Bank, has been appointed to an advisory council for the Federal Reserve Bank’s 12th District.
The Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council represents banks, credit unions and other financial institutions within the 12th District, which is based at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and includes the five Pacific Coast states, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona and Utah. The council provides input to the Bank’s senior management on a variety of topics, including economic and banking conditions, regulatory policies and payment issues.
Russell joins 11 other members of the council and is the only member representing an institution based in Washington. His term is effective Jan. 1, 2016; CDIAC members generally serve a three-year term.
