Chris Sakas, previously vice president of private banking for Tacoma's Columbia Bank, is joining Seattle-based HomeStreet Bank as its new senior vice president for private banking.

Sakas brings 16 years of experience in the banking and finance industry to his new position. Prior to Columbia, he was with Wells Fargo Bank in Seattle as a senior relationship manager in the commercial real estate and business banking group.

Columbia announced Sakas as VP and private banking officer in May of 2011.

A native of Washington state, Sakas holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University and an M.A. in organization development from Seattle University. He serves on the board of trustees for Annie Wright Schools in Tacoma and is active with the Pacific Lutheran University School of Business.
