Dave Lawson has been tapped by Columbia Bank as the financial institution's new executive vice president of human resources.
In his new position, Lawson will find and implement strategic direction, leadership and oversight of the bank’s human resources department, as it supports the company mission.
“Dave is an accomplished professional who is deeply committed to providing superior, mission-driven leadership, an essential trait for our Columbia Bank family,” said Melanie Dressel, president and CEO of Columbia Bank and Columbia Banking System, Inc.
With 32 years of human resources experience, Lawson joins Columbia Bank following an 11-year tenure with Franciscan Health System. In his role there, as the department's senior vice president, he oversaw functions at more than five hospitals and a network of primary care and specialty care clinics and physicians in Pierce, King and Kitsap counties.
“(Now) I look forward to working to enhance and evolve the admirable corporate culture for which Columbia Bank has become known,” Lawson said.
