Tacoma-based CHI Franciscan Health and New York’s City MD, which announced a partnership last year to open a series of urgent care clinics in the Puget Sound area, have revealed where the first of those clinics will be.

One is slated to open this October in Kent and another in Seattle’s Ravenna neighborhood in August. The Kent clinic, at 12916 SE Kent-Kangley Road, will have more than 10 exam rooms, while the other will have eight.

“Thanks to our innovative partnership with CityMD, our primary goal to increase access to high-quality health care for the entire Pacific Northwest region will soon become a reality,” said Ketul J. Patel, CHI Franciscan Health CEO.

“CityMD has redefined the urgent care experience in the Northeastern United States. Our expansion to the Pacific Northwest will allow us to offer our best-in-class care centers to a region in great need of our services,” said Richard Park, CityMD CEO.

According to a statement from CHI Franciscan, additional locations for more urgent care centers in Pierce and King counties will be announced in the coming weeks.
