n Cascade Eye & Skin Centers has announced the addition of Dr. Jocelyn J. Newman to its medical staff, who is now accepting new dermatology patients. She received her bachelor of science degree, with honors, from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She received her medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, where she graduated summa cum laude.
n The Lacey branch of PC Home Loans has named Jann Anderson as a loan officer assistant. She has more than seven years of experience in the mortgage banking industry. In her position, Anderson will be responsible for assisting with the origination of home loans, and serving the local community and realtor network in securing home loans for clients. The branch has also added Brad Diefenderfer as a junior loan officer. His experience includes more than 15 years in sales management. Along with assisting Shawn Anderson, he will be responsible for coordinating his own production of home loans as well as serving the local community and realtor network.
n Port of Olympia Executive Director Ed Galligan has named Rick Anderson as director of the engineering department. Previously serving as acting director of engineering, he assumed his new role July 1. Prior to joining the port in 2007, Anderson was the assistant director of public works for the Town of Steilacoom.
n Kitsap Credit Union has promoted Ana Barnett to branch manager to serve the Gig Harbor community at its Olympic Plaza branch. Barnett has more than 10 years experience working for the credit union, most recently serving as the Belfair assistant manager.
n The Parkland-Spanaway Rotary Club installed its new club leadership. Brian Salva of Heritage Bank will serve as club president. Rich Foster of KeyBank is president elect. Bob Johnston of Grand Departures Funeral Services will continue as secretary. Janet Detering will continue as treasurer, and Jay Peterson of Erickson McGovern Architects will serve as the immediate past president.
Board members include: Will Detering, Cathy Hamel, Kathie Bolen, Judy Keller, Ardell Samdal, Helen Bush and Bill Davis. Monica Hurley was awarded the annual Service Above Self award at the annual banquet.
n Fournier Group announced that Bryon Hamilton has joined as a risk management advisor in University Place. He has worked for a large national broker and large regional broker. Hamilton has past success with risk retention groups and clients on a national level. While working for the regional firm, his focus was on local general contractors and large sub contractors throughout the Northwest.
The firm also announced that Debbie Henderson has joined as a commercial lines manager. Henderson comes to Fournier Group with an extensive background in the insurance industry.
n HomeStreet Bank has hired Vickie Robello as a mortgage loan officer at its Olympia branch.
n Pierce Commercial Bank of Tacoma has added Scot Ellis as a loan officer in its expanding residential lending team. He has more than 32 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry. In his position, Ellis will be originate home loans and service the local community and realtor network in securing home loans for clients.
n The Jim and Carolyn Milgard Family HOPE Center Boys and Girls Club will soon open its doors. Jo Ann Maxwell has been hired as the new director of the center. She began her career as a teacher in Colorado, where she taught physical education. She also organized the local Special Olympics program in seven sports and coordinated many statewide competitions.
n Ken Hornung is now regional sales manager for Quality Business Systems in Auburn. He is focused on developing a strong sales team to market Xerox’s products.
n The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound Board of Directors has approved scholarships for 28 graduating seniors and 18 continuing college students.
