Not much activity on South Sound blog sites; must be that summer has arrived. One of the few with recent posting is Erik Hanberg‘s in which he offers reprise of his interior photos from the old Elk’s Building, now being proposed for redevelopment.

Exit133.com has a good amount of community comment on this week’s disclosure that the Luzon Building in downtown Tacoma may soon be coming down. Most seeks ways to save the historic structure, though a couple call it a lost cause. The site also has a link, if you want to read the full consultant’s report.

A renowned expert on city parking issues is coming to Tacoma later this month. Read more about UCLA planning Professor Donald Shoup and his July 27 appearance on Feed Tacoma.
