Behavioral Health Resources has selected recipients of this year's Phoenix Awards. Honorees include:

• Addiction Recovery, Individual – Jody Lynn Gamber. This award honors an individual whose perseverance has helped manage their addiction and is now serves as a model for others.

• Addiction Recovery, Individual – Josh Guggenmos. This award honors an individual whose perseverance has helped manage their addiction and is now serves as a model for others.

• Professional Services Award – Brett Buckley, judge for Mental Health and Veteran’s Court. This award honors professionals in the counseling, legal and nursing fields, plus physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists who have created or improved community programs that foster a supportive, caring environment for those managing mental illness and/or addiction, and those who have an exceptional approach to treating patients that serves as a model for others.

• Professional Services Award – Arlene Oliver, psychiatric nurse practitioner. This award honors professionals in the counseling, legal and nursing fields, plus physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists for outstanding work that has created or improved community programs that foster a supportive, caring environment for those managing mental illness and/or addiction and those who have an exceptional approach to treating patients that serves as a model for others.

• Professional Services Award – Carl Flowers, director of BHR’s Recovery Program (counselor). This award honors professionals in the counseling, legal and nursing fields, plus physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists for outstanding work that has created or improved community programs that foster a supportive, caring environment for those managing mental illness and/or addiction, and those who have an exceptional approach to treating patients that serves as a model for others.
