With today’s Daily Biz Briefs, we begin to highlight individual honorees for the 2013 40 Under Forty recognition program. In each of the next 20 editions, we will feature two among the class of 40.

William Behl is a USAF member at JBLM, a C-17 crew chief and was previously honored as a 2012 United Way Puget Sound Hero for his many volunteer hours of community service . His 40 Under Forty nomination came for his continued leadership in the Combined Federal Campaign, a United Way affiliate program  at the local military installation. Regrettably, Behl will not be able to attend the Aug. 7 recognition program as he will in the Midwest getting married.

Adam Ydstie works for Associated Ministries of Tacoma during the day and for his community through The Warehouse, an event production company, on the weekends and evenings. After arriving in the South Sound the summer of 2006 as an intern, he grew into work as an Americorp volunteer at Northwest Leadership Foundation. Adam says his goal in life is to make the community where he lives to be a better place, and to encourage those around him to do the same.

The public is invited to join in celebrating the 2013 class of “40 Under Forty” at an evening program outdoors at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium on Wednesday, Aug. 7, beginning at 6 p.m.  Details and ticket information are at this link.
