The Washington chapter of the American Planning Association will host its annual conference in downtown Tacoma in October.
The organization includes more than 1,300 professional architects, attorneys, consultants, planners, and planning commissioners in Washington who are interested in economic, environmental, housing, land use, and transportation planning.
Attendees will be invited to tour downtown Tacoma, Dune Peninsula Park, Point Ruston, Tacoma’s Brewery District, Thea Foss Waterway, and University of Washington Tacoma.
This year’s event, entitled Shaping Communities That Thrive, will be held Oct. 16-17 at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center, located at 1500 Commerce Street. More information is available online here.
