Following a redesign brought on by COVID last spring, Sound West Group is moving forward with its Marina Square project.

Its Kirkland-based general contractor, Compass Construction, is already working to make the plans come to life. The vision includes two mixed-use towers to appeal to Navy members looking for short-term rentals as well as those seeking longer-term apartments.

Once completed, 272 apartments will be available, starting at $1,370 per month. The project also will add 363 parking spaces.

“Our project and finance team adapted to this challenge and in the end we will construct an even better project that will support the economic redevelopment of Bremerton while providing much-needed affordable apartments and improved access to our waterfront,” said Sound West Group CEO Wes Larson in a press release.

If all goes according to plan, the project will be done in 2022.
