On the heels of Clint Stein assuming the role of president and chief executive officer at Columbia Bank, the Tacoma-based institution announced the expansion of its executive team with the promotions of three long-time team members.
Eric Eid is now the chief digital and technology officer. Eid is responsible for “innovation, information security, and digital expansion by developing strategic solutions and partnerships that drive value from technology investments,” according to a news release from Columbia Bank. He’s been with the bank for 10 years and has more than 40 years of experience in the finance industry.
David Moore Devine was appointed as the bank’s chief marketing and experience officer. His expanded new role will continue to oversee the company’s marketing department and he will lead a new team focused on culture, diversity, inclusivity, and social responsibility, as well as a new client experience team. Devine joined Columbia in 2007 and has roughly 20 years of experience in financial services marketing and communications.
Nicole Sherman was appointed director of retail banking and digital integration and will lead the institution’s nearly 150-branches with oversight of new digital services introduced for businesses and consumers. She joined the bank nine years ago and has more than 25 years of experience in banking.
“I’ve had the privilege of working with each of these leaders as they contributed to a period of significant growth for Columbia,” president and CEO Stein said in a statement. “I am pleased to continue that partnership as we enter a new decade of growth and prosperity for our company.”
