What better way to learn about a government agency’s process than by experiencing it firsthand?

The Lacey City Council is looking for juniors and seniors that are 16-18 years old to serve on the Parks Board, Historical Commission, and Library Board.

Applicants must be a resident of Lacey — or its urban growth area — and the mayor will appoint each representative to serve a one-year term from September to September, with the option to serve an additional year.

To apply, students can pick up an application at any of the North Thurston public high schools, download it from the city website, or contact Kelsey Williams at kwilliams@ci.lacey.wa.us.
