The City of Lacey is hosting its third annual Homeowners’ Association Academy. The event takes place from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., May 5 at the Lacey Community Center.

Topics such as HOA legal issues, the responsibilities of board members, how to prepare your neighborhood for disaster, and more will be discussed by knowledgeable professionals.

“This is a great opportunity for HOA board members and management companies to network with each other and learn about the administration of HOAs from professionals in this field,” Jenny Bauersfeld, Public Relations Specialist for the City of Lacey’s Public Affairs Department stated. “Attendees can expect sessions on understanding governing documents and assessment collections, reserve studies, tree care and permitting, dispute resolution skills, architectural standards, and more.”

HOA Board Members from Lacey and Lacey Urban Growth Area neighborhoods are eligible to attend for a $35 registration fee. HOA Board Members from other areas may register and attend for $45 fee. A $10 registration discount will be given to any additional HOA Board Members who attend.
