The City of Tacoma’s Tacoma Venues and Events has issued the following four requests for bids for projects related to upcoming improvements to the Tacoma Dome.

1. Tacoma Dome Artist Quarters and Office Finish

This estimated $3 million project includes the construction of new artist dressing rooms located at the east end of the Tacoma Dome and the renovation of administrative offices on the intermediate level of the west end of the building.

A pre-proposal meeting will be held at the Tacoma Dome at 9 a.m. on May 4. Bids are due by 11 a.m. on May 15.

2. Tacoma Dome Arena Level Restroom

This project, estimated at $2.5 million, includes the construction of new restroom facilities at the west end of the dome.

A pre-proposal meeting will be held at the Tacoma Dome at 10 a.m. on May 4. Bids are due by 11 a.m. on May 15.

3. Tacoma Dome Arena Mechanical Improvements

The mechanical improvements to be made include the removal of existing chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and accessories; the installation of new chillers, ice storage, pumps, piping, and other equipment; the replacement of undersized hydronic mains; the relocation of the existing fire pump; and the addition of more cooling coils. The project is estimated at $4.5 million.

A pre-proposal meeting will be held at the Tacoma Dome at 11 a.m. on May 4. Bids are due by 11 a.m. on May 15.

4. Tacoma Dome Arena Concrete and Loading Dock

This $1.8 million project consists of the construction of arena floor and footing work before new seating is installed, the installation of a new waste main at the west end of the arena, seating transition work at the concourse level, the infill of existing window openings, and the installation of a new loading dock.

Bids are due by 11 a.m. on May 8.
