Horizon Partners Northwest, owner of the Brewery Blocks Tacoma development project in the historic brewery district, announced the updated opening of the Brewery Lofts Tacoma model units and leasing office.

The Brewery Lofts was set to open to the public on Sunday, June 23. But, according to a statement from the communications office, unforeseen issues caused the open house to be delayed. Tours and pre-leasing for the 49 loft homes officially opened on Sunday, July 14.

Because of the opening date delay, Horizon Partners Northwest was able to get professional photography and video of the new space in partnership with TREE, a local interior design company. TREE has furnished the model units with the design style of “urban organic,” inspired by the industrial nature of the renovated building.

The Brewery Lofts building is a 34,000 square foot mixed-use facility, with retail, office, and residential spaces. There are two different layouts for the loft homes: a one-bedroom, one-bath from 515 to 685 square feet; or a two-bedroom, two-bath from 1,008 to 1,050 square feet. Rent prices range from $1,600 to $3,300, depending on square footage.

Currently, Brewery Lofts has two commercial tenants: Incline Cider, a cider tasting room now under construction, and Project 21, a bankruptcy law firm.

Brewery Lofts is one of six buildings within the Brewery Blocks Tacoma development. The project is anticipated to add more than 325,000 square feet of office, residential, retail, and parking to the historic brewery district. The buildings are refurbished and repurposed to the fullest extent, aligning with the mission of preserving as many retainable structures and salvaged building materials as possible.

Horizon Partners Northwest expects a September 2019 move-in date for lofts, and has not yet released a completion date for the full development.
