BECU, Washington’s largest community credit union, recently announced its plans to open a new financial center in Gig Harbor in order to better serve its more than 4,000 members who live in the city.

The more than 2,800-square-foot Neighborhood Financial Center will mirror BECU’s other centers with a “tellerless” layout to improve convenience, relying instead on ATMs, as well as online and mobile banking with staff on hand for one-on-one support for more complex services like opening accounts and applying for a personal loan.

The Gig Harbor BECU is slated to open in 2019 at the Village at Harbor Hill joining the other 49 BECU locations in Washington state, with nearby centers in Tacoma, Bonney Lake, Puyallup, Silverdale, and University Place.
