Joint-Base Lewis-McChord is hosting an Armed Forces Day community celebration from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 19. The event, which takes place at Heritage Park for the first time since the formation of the joint base in 2010, will allow locals to join service members in celebrating the history and heritage of the military and of the United States.

Armed Forces Day begins with a Volksmarch and bicycle ride, for which registration begins at 9 a.m. Most of the other activities, including carnival rides, military history displays, reenactments, military aircraft displays, a climbing wall, food vendors, and live music, will be located at or near Heritage Hill Airpark at McChord Field.

Guests without access passes should enter JBLM through the North Gate, located at South Tacoma Way and 112th Street. Visit the event page for more information.
