The Tacoma City Council is seeking four new members of the Commission on Immigrant and Refugee Affairs, a group that has engaged and worked with Tacoma’s immigrant and refugee community since its establishment in late 2017.

The Commission consists of 11 members and one alternate, all serving three-year terms. This includes one member under the age of 25. Members are expected to demonstrate experience with immigrant issues and a dedication to impacted communities, as well as involve community partners to help support the diverse population.

Applications are due on Jan. 27 to the City Clerk’s Office; members are nominated and appointed by City Council. More information is available here.
