Alliance Northwest will hold a business-to-government conference March 7 at the Washington State Fairgrounds in Puyallup.

The event is expected to draw more than 1,000 small businesses, private contractors and local, state and federal agencies for an event that focuses on the best practices in government contracting. It also gives suppliers opportunities to connect with government agencies and prime contractors.

The keynote speaker will be Jeremy Field, regional administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration Region 10 office. There will be workshops in veteran business opportunities, teaming for success, the Hubzone program, socioeconomic programs and others. The trade show will feature 125 government agencies from federal, state and local entities, small businesses and prime contractors.

The event will include matchmaking, which is an opportunity for small businesses to meet one-on-one with procurement professionals from across the state. The participants can meet with table hosts for 8 minutes. BergerAMAM, Doyon Government Group, Hansel Phelps, Keiwit Infrastructure West Co, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Sellen Construction, Skanska, Swinerton Builders and U.S. Army, Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM) are some of the table sponsors with whom participants can meet.
